Crusaders three day varsity match vs Oxford Authentics saw Cambridge assume a strong position declaring with Oxford needing 300 to win in just under 2 sessions. 2 quick wickets left them at 17-2 but a partnership saw them to 92-2 before heavy rain caused the end of play

and in the morning resume to play some great cricket adding over 150 in the first session

whilst Bax bludgeoned the ball

before playing a dicey shot to be out on 96

Knight takes a single to make his 50 before Crusaders declare exactly 300 runs ahead

The Authentics made a poor start with Wright taking a quick wicket

and then Kemp trapping the other opener LBW leaving them at 17-2

but the rain comes

the wicket remained playable and a few overs were managed

until the rain poured
