Training and Matches

Michaelmas and Lent Terms
Throughout the winter months the club holds indoor nets at Fenner’s Cricket School. Our coached open sessions provide training in all three facets of the game. These are ideal for novices looking to pick up new skills as well as more experienced players looking to improve on the basics. We also hold separate squad training sessions which look to develop each player’s skills.

To access Fenner’s Cricket School enter through the main entrance of Fenner’s Gym, which is number 48 on the University Map. Turn right at reception and go past the changing rooms and out the door in front of you. Turn left and follow the path, which takes you onto Fenner’s Cricket Ground. The entrance to the Indoor School is on the right.

Easter Term
The Easter term is the busiest term in Cambridge for cricket as it is when our matches take place. Our training moves outdoors (as long as the weather is good) and the season normally begins with a week of cricket activities at the end of the Easter vacation.

Matches
Our home fixtures are played at Fitzwilliam College Sports Ground on Oxford Road, while the 50-over Varsity Match is played on the Nursery Ground at Lord’s.
